More Brazilian stuff
Hello! I'd like your opinions on:
1- Brazil's Lex Luthor (Estrela, 1988)
This is one of the few Brazilian toys without "ESTRELA" written somewhere on it.
Instead there is a "(C)DC 1984" on his leg.
In fact I would like to hear opinions about Lex Luthor on two different situations:
1- Loose Lex Luthor (just like the pictures above)
2- Lex Luthor + Brazilian Mini Comic
2- Brazil's Wonder Woman ("Mulher-Maravilha", Estrela, 1987?)
Same case here. I'd like opinions on:
1- Loose WW
2- WW + Brazilian Mini Comic
3- Brazil's Joker ("O Coringa", Estrela, 1987?)
Case 1 - Joker + "Hammer-Helmet"
Case 2 - Joker + Hammer + Mini Comic
4- Brazil's Green Arrow ("Arqueiro Verde", Estrela, 1988)
Case 1 - Green Arrow + bow + 2 arrows
Case 2 - Green Arrow + bow + 2 arrows + Mini Comic
5- Brazil's Batcopter ("Batcóptero", Estrela, 1988)

Re: More Brazilian stuff
Very nice Estrela collection Marcelo... and with accessories and mini comics too! If i'm not mistaken, the Green Arrow only comes with 2 arrows, so you're not missing one i don't think .

Re: More Brazilian stuff
Thanks for the info! I played with these toys for the last time more than 20 years ago - so I didn't remember the correct number of arrows of Green Arrow
Any opinions about the price of these toys are welcome!

Re: More Brazilian stuff
Since carded Green Arrow and Luthor have not turned up yet, those are pretty rare!

Re: More Brazilian stuff
Thanks for the info.
I created an Ebay account so I guess I'll auction them in a near future.

Thanks Mike! I didn't started the auctions yet because I still have no idea of the value of these toys. I don't want to ask an abusively high price - nor a ridiculously low one - for them.
Super Powers was very popular in Brazil and I can use my memories as a kind of a guide of the rarity level of my figures.
The Joker was a very common figure among the kids as well as Lex Luthor. However almost all my classmates had accidentally broken their Luthor's armors in two pieces (Brazilian armor is made of two glued parts) and mine is still intact.
Wonder Woman could be a common figure but it wasn't for cultural reasons. I don't know if it happens in USA but you had to be a very courageous kid in Brazil to buy a female figure. You would instantly be considered a sissy if you have females of any line like He-Man, Gi Joe, Thundercats... I could prove this theory recently because Brazilian collectors BEG for my Wonder Woman - and I had to refuse all offers because I have no idea of its real value.
I guess Batcopter is also rare due to the lack of interest on it. No one really cared about SP vehicles in Brazil (with the exception of the Batmobile). We only loved the figures.
Green Arrow FOR SURE is my rarest Super Powers figure. It was rare already in 1988. Every kid wanted a Green Arrow after they see mine - but for some reason this toy in particular VANISHED from stores. I spent endless months back in 1988 listening (and declining) trade offers.
I also have other figures like Brazilian Superman, Aquaman and Darkseid but I guess I can't sell them because they're in terrible shape.
Sorry for the long childhood memories. I guess I'm getting really old
