Have any Teen Titans prototypes or artwork popped up?

Re: Teen Titans

If memory serves me correctly, a few pieces of conceptual artwork were shown in AFD awhile back, but the Teen Titans idea doesn't seem to have progressed any further than that.

I actually still have that issue and went looking for it after i posted this. So conceptual artwork is out there in collectors hands but there aren't any prototypes? When i was browsing the concept art there was so much stuff that would have been great for this line. It's ashame most of it never made it past artwork.

Vast portions of the conceptual artwork shown in those issues were done early on when the line was being developed and the license was being secured. While some concepts were used and made it to the final product, many, many were not. Nothing to my knowledge exists at this time to show the Teen Titans concept went any further than that initial conceptual artwork.

Reviving this one in a different direction.

Set your mind back to 1986-87. If Kenner were to have made a 5-pack of Teen Titans:

Which characters would have been included?
What power action would they have had?
How would they have been packaged?

I have my ideas but curious to see others thoughts.

1. Nightwing
2. Changling
3. Kid Flash
4. Starfire
5. Raven

I would have had Cyborg in the assortment obviously, but he was already released, as was Robin (maybe you stick them in there anyway).

You go through this list, while realizing how popular these characters were at the time, and it starts to dawn why the line struggled after the first release.

Kenner was probably trying too hard to tie in with the animated series, as opposed to the comics lines, plus they were throwing in made-up characters like Cyclotron and Golden Pharaoh at the expense of popular Teen Titans characters (just as an example).

Re: Teen Titans

1. Deathstroke (power action quick draw (like Indiana Jones) and/or sword slash)
2. Nightwing (power action baton attack)
3. Raven (power action mystic spell (like WW only going above her head))
4. Star fire (power action star bolts w/glowing eyes (like the opposite of Mr. Miracle and Darkseid eyes))
5. Wondergirl (power action lasso toss)

In reality it most likely would've been Robin and Cyborg included. Less money on sculpts and material since they had already been done. Plus just like the 80's, two already released pack ins and three new characters.

I'll bet they would have had similar actions to Flash,Green Arrow,Aquaman & Wonder Women.

Re: Teen Titans

What I think it would have been:

Robin- same power action, maybe slight repaint
Cyborg - same power action, maybe new accessories
Kid Flash - running action
Wonder Girl - lasso toss
Changeling- same action as Cyclotron but with animal sculpt behind face plate OR completely sculpted back that rotates like Power Lord.

What I would have wanted it to be to introduce more new characters:
Kid Flash
Wonder Girl
Raven - Golden Pharoah action with cape attached to wrists
Starfire - light up eyes, two armed power blast
Changeling

Aqualad mail away emoticon

How do you think they would have been packaged?

5 guys in separate blisters on one huge card? Like GI Joe Night Force 2 packs.
Window box? Batman Animated Series did this later in the run.
Separate full cards with a large cardboard overpack? Modern Star Wars had some gift packs sold like this.

Are there any other 80s lines that produced multi figure packs?

Re: Teen Titans

I could see a 5 blister oversized card or a window box similar to the Star Wars 3 packs.
