Riddler and Black Batman

So did anyone see the cut bubble riddler sold for $660? Seems with the current price jump lots more loose ones are selling for decent money. What's the best guess on a value for moc at this point?

Also it seems like there's been tons of black estrela Bats listed over the last few months. They seem much more common than I thought. Anyway just the thoughts bouncing around on a Thursday morning emoticon

Re: Riddler and Black Batman

Had someone offer me a near perfect carded Riddler for 1500. I think anywhere from 1-1500 is pretty accurate now depending on condition.

Estrela bats do seem to pop up a lot now. I haven't taken the plunge on one but I don't think I'd pay more than 250.

Good question Rich. I personally think a really nice example carded might get to $1500 but don't think a lot of loose has gone up a ton. The card is hard to get so that adds value especially in a cut bubble as there is no pic tear. The loose in not so good condition seem to be hanging in the $350 to $400 range which is where they have been for as long as I was looking for one which was when I joined. There are several loose up right now, one with a buy it now of $400 and I don't think it will sell at that unless someone really wants one.

The black batman really is hard to find in great shape with no paint rub and good cape. They seem to be hanging around the $250 to $300 range. I was offered one recently above that and turned it down. I think since I have one I wouldn't go more than $300 but that would only be after I have completed the rest of the set. (still missing some accessories and bio cards)

Re: Riddler and Black Batman

It's funny to see how things shift and change as time goes by.

When I bought my Estrella Black Batman, it would've been... maybe 2012? 2013? And I think I spent around $250 for it. At the time, they were pretty hard to come by, and the market was going up.

Since then, I've seen a LOT more of these pop up... and unfortunately I've seen a lot of them 'restored'. In fact, there was a guy on eBay selling his 'restoration kit' which included a rub-on decal to replace the faded bats. I'm glad I bought mine early on, because I know that I wasn't a victim of these 'restored' or 'altered' ones... but my faith in them has just plummeted because of these. I think the prices have dropped pretty substantially because I believe most of us have picked one up by now, but it always sucks to see that the quantities of things get skewed by some... questionable tactics. I guess it always has to be a very buyer-beware kinda thing.

As for Riddlers, I've see the prices all over. I've owned a number of them over the years, and I guess at $1,500 the price would be fair, if you really wanted it and if it was in really really nice condition. But at $660 for a complete but cut loose one, I'd guess the average pricing for a carded one would be around $1,200-$1,350. Again, it all depends on quality and desire - both to buy and to sell. I can't imagine a carded example going for less than $1,000 though, even with a pretty beat up card.

That's just my $[sign in to see URL], but it was certainly something I'd noticed too!
