Re: Ebay Auction

Thanks I've been able to get one since then! That posting I saw at one point was $99 which I think is changing because the cape was originally listed as unsure if it is the original, to now being not original to Shazam on the listing page.

If only figures were readily available when you need them...

Thanks again

DIG Auctions also just had a 23 back Steppenwolf end yesterday near 500$. I can't make sense of that number. Most times it's because buyers figure it'll grade high which I can at least appreciate but this one was a 75 at best in my opinion. Guess someone REALLY wanted it.

I thought it might have a shot at an 80 and the 23-back Steppenwolf is really tough in high-grade, but I agree that was too much. I'm not even sure one that was already graded AFA 80 would being much more than $300-$400.

Unless several new collectors have entered the market and are engaging in bidding wars, I'm suspicious of Dig Auctions when it comes to Super Powers and Secret Wars material. Their stuff just isn't high-grade enough to warrant the level of pre-snipe bidding that happens with their auctions.

I'm watching that one. It should sell for a good price, but if you see it go past $400, then something is up.

An AFA 80 12-back GL just sold for a bit over $400. This example is an 80 at best thanks to the lower left front corner veining and the foxing on the back. Plus it has a price sticker on the back.

Their Green Arrow is also suspicious. $300 for an ungraded, punched example with a price tag on the front, edge wear all around and the right leg of the figure has frosting. 23-back GA AFA 80's were selling for $300 just a few weeks ago, so this price is already dubious.

Re: Ebay Auction

Just to add to this, both the Green Lantern and the Green Arrow are now at $355. Both figures have been bid up by the same two bidders. Taking Green Arrow from $[sign in to see URL] to its current price without any bids from anyone else, while the Green Lantern has gone from $14 to its current price without any other bidders placing a bid.

Make of that what you will.
