Couple more photos. Blue streaks are reflections (but not that tiny blue spot on the nose!)

You wouldn't be the original customizer of the figure would you? Actually, I think it doesn't look too bad (and he does have a neck). Certainly no worse than any of the legitimate variations. I wonder why Toy Biz didn't actually release a version like this, since, as you said, he's pictured this way on the card-back. I'm thinking of taking him out of the package, sprucing him up a bit, and putting him back on a nicer card with a clear bubble. But I'll leave no one in doubt that it is a custom.

Thanks for sharing photos! It's funky, now I'm really contemplating making this custom! I definitely don't think it looks bad, and it's certainly a unique piece...

must resist temptation to make every variation of custom Batman based on ToyBiz stuff....

Matt, if you have a Toybiz batman body I might have an SP head laying around here somewhere.
It's yours if I have it and you want it.

Re: Auction Question - ToyBiz / Super Powers Batman Connection? Missing link?

Sorry to dig out an old thread, but whenever I think of the 1989 Batman movie I always think of how badly I wanted the "black Batman," and how what I'd always really wanted was for it to be the Super Powers Batman repainted, as shown in all the lit Toybiz put out as well as on the card backs. I had a fascination as a kid with familiar objects with "standard" color schemes being produced in some non-standard color scheme - particularly when that non-standard scheme involved black. I still can stare at the Batman costume from that 1989 film all day, I think it is so beautiful. Or at least 10 year old me does.

Anyway, I finally laid out the money for an Estrela Batman a few years ago I'm very glad to have it, but...

What I really, really want is one with a matte finish, as on the Toybiz card back... and carded! Maybe someday I'll find some clever person who can customize just such a thing.
