Luke (Luke1046)

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum. I just currently purchased my first Super Powers figure, It was a 12 back Joker and was also unpunched. Picked him up at a local antique store. I have been collecting Joker figures for about 4 years, I believe its time to move onto Super Powers figures. The card art is amazing. Can't wait to purchase my next figure and i'm sure I will have questions for the other members.

Re: (Luke1046)

Im going to post the picture of Joker soon. I been looking around the site for about a month and finally decided to join. Where is a good place to start collecting. It seems over whelming. I would like packaged figures on good cards. Do you guys have any suggestions on where to begin and could you suggest some cheaper figures? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

Luke

Hi Luke,

If you aren't super picky about condition and don't mind mid to low grade carded figures then you'll be able to assemble a carded set for a reasonable price on eBay over time. Many of the 1st and 2nd character re-releases on 3rd series cards tend to fetch a premium, so best to stay away from those if collecting on a budget. Some of the 3rd series figures will run you a bit more and Batman is a 1st series one that typically fetches a pretty penny. I suggest searching through eBay completed auctions to help get a feel for what individual carded figures are selling for these days. That way you'll be well armed with knowledge on how much to pay for particular pieces.

Welcome to the forum Luke! You have made a wise decision to start collecting Super Powers. And you have definitley found the place to be! I started with a loose collection and am just now moving on to carded figures.

Some less expensive carded figures to get you started-

The Flash
Martian Manhunter
Dr. Fate
Lex Luthor
Mantis
Cyclotron
Orion
Tyr

That should keep you busy for a while emoticon .
