Chris (MeanwhileAtTheHallOfJustice)

Name: Chris Pesqueira

Occupation: Internal Revenue Service Tax Examiner/Customer Service Representative

Hometown: Medford (Long Island), New York

Collecting Since: solely loose 1982-1993 - solely carded 1994-2005 - more loose than carded 2005-present

Collecting Interests: I was born in 1980, so I defintely have an affinity for all things 80's. Kenner made my favorite stuff, with Super Powers (whole first set for Christmas 1984), Star Wars, and Starting Lineups - but I also collected WWF (LJN, Hasbro, Jakks Classic Superstars), Secret Wars, He-Man, TMNT, etc. I was almost exclusively Starting Lineups from about 93-2000 - and then got back heavy into Star Wars current and vintage, including having roughly 65 of the original 97 (my number) carded - would like the full display one day. I also have collected CDs, DVDs, vinyl, Hard Rock Cafe shot glasses, t-shirts, baseball cards - what don't I collect would be the shorter answer. I still enjoy cracking open damaged carded figures like I did when I was 5, but I try to be respectful to the carded collectors and buy damaged stuff so I don't take away from the MOMC pool.

Other Interests:
Baseball in any way, New York Mets, Syracuse Orange (alum), NY Rangers, NY Knicks, Dallas Cowboys, and R.A. Dickey. Fundraising for autism awareness/prevention. Music, movies, tv, bowling, karaoke, concerts, golf, 70's-early 90's wrestling, eating, drinking liquor of high quality, and spending time with friends/family. Also trying to find a woman that would deal with all of my hobbies and OCD tendencies before I'm too old...

That's me quickly and I'm glad to be here!

Oh no.. an IRS man!! LOL..

You make up for it being a fan of old school wrestling. I was hooked on it through the 80s and early 90s... Lots of good ole memories having PPV parties at my house. Who were your favorite wrestlers?

Trust me - if you met me, you'd never know I worked for the IRS.

As I am an unusual adult, I was an unusual child. I did not like Hulk Hogan. My favorite wrestling moment was Bash at the Beach when he turned bad. To me, he was worlds better as a heel.

My favorites are Steamboat, Savage, Flair, Harley Race, Superstar Graham, The Ultimate Warrior, Bobby Heenan, Bret Hart, Curt Hennig Dusty Rhodes, etc. - and tag teams The Hart Foundation, Demolition, British Bulldogs, the Four Horsemen. Who did you root for?

Let me see.. I went through some phases on who my favorites were...

I was kinda into Hulk Hogan, but REALLY liked Roddy Piper in the 80s, and Bret Hart in the early to mid-90s, then Stone Cold up until I quit watching around 2000.

My other favorites were: Undertaker(more because I LOVED Paul Barer (RIP!), Hacksaw Jim Duggan, The Bushwackers, Legion of Doom, British Bulldog, Million Dollar Man (Loved the belt!). I really loved it when Earthquake and Tugboat (later Typhoon) had their tag team goin!

In reality, I enjoyed all the WWF wrestlers, and like to pop in a video every once in a while with some of the old matches. I think my favorite match was Macho Man vs. Steamboat back in one of the early Wrestlemanias. Watching those old matches really takes me back to childhood!

I am a real American, fight for what's right, fight for your life!

I was huge into the LJN stuff (had almost all of it) and then the Hasbro stuff. My most favorite wrestler of all time will always be Randy "Macho Man" Savage, R.I.P...if anyone wants to see one of the best videos ever made, go to YouTube and look for The Best of Macho Man, or something close to that...he was clearly out of his mind and that's one reason I always loved him.
