Hey Mike, who owns the Darkseid Fortress?

Who ended up with the full prototype that was pictured in Lee's & Tomarts?

Peace,

Chip

Hi Chip,

I seem to recall the Tower of Darkness shown in various issues of Tomart's as having a collector photo credit (at least in the earliest issue that showed it), but don't recall the exact name credited. I do remember it being a name that I never recognized and wasn't anyone I've ever come in contact with, so I don't know if that collector still owns it or if it was sold at some point. The one shown in Tomart's appears to be a completely injection molded one.

As for the playset shown in Lee's, I believe that's the one Huckabone used to own if memory serves me correctly. Mark's was mostly proto molded as opposed to injection molded.

Okay, thanks for the [sign in to see URL]'s something I certainly did not know. In reading your site entry on [sign in to see URL] were FOUR produced?

Wow.

How many of the "head" pieces were there when they surfaced? I know you have one, but for some reason the number 5 sticks in my head even though your entry says two. Of course, now that TT is gone I can't go back through those threads.

Peace,

Chip

Four playsets for [sign in to see URL] more, but four for sure.

At the time that entry was written, only two light grey shells had surfaced to my knowledge. The light grey unpainted first shot Tower of Darkness head shells didn't all surface at once, nor from the same source. Two surfaced from a single ex-Kenner source at different points in time and a single one from a different ex-Kenner source later. I'd need to go back and check my notes about a 4th one that looks like the three head shells I've mentioned above.

I need to get as many photos of all of this as possible... I'm seriously considering sculpting the entire thing from scratch.
