Re: Any New Acquisitions for Anyone?

Hey All,
New to the message boards, though I have been visiting the site for years. I thought I would jump in. Recently (about 8 or 9 months ago) I add the Series One Store Display to my collection. It is the big, printed on both sides with the city skyline. It is a great piece, mostly in nice shape except for some of the uppermost corners that are a bit worn. Still, I had been looking for something like it for years and hadn't even remembered it existed until I picked it up online.

Also, and I think this is the news you all will be more interested in, I have the original pen and ink artwork by Paris Cullins for the Series 3 insert poster that came with the Series 2 and 3 vehicles. The one with the Tower of Darkness featured in it. The colored artwork for this piece was featured in the AFD magazine that had the articles about the prototypes and the Series 4 figures. The thing about the pencil/ink artwork though, is that instead of featuring Golden Pharoah blasting a Parademon, it has the All Terrain Trapper with Wonder Woman driving and Mr. Freeze caught within.

Pretty cool piece, sort of a dual purpose piece and really is the pride of my collection. I obtained the piece about 10 years ago, so it isn't really a "new" aquisition, but since this is my first post, I hope you all will let it slide!

I will take a digital photo of the piece and post it on my blog within the next day or so if you are interested in seeing it.

Thanks, and I will be interested to see what people have to say about the piece.

Welcome to the forums, Ryan! Glad to have you aboard.

The insert poster artwork sounds like a tremendous piece, so I appreciate you informing us of its existence in your collection. I can't wait to see photos when you have time to share!

Mike,
I posted two picks of it up on my blog ([sign in to see URL]) - one is a full shot, the other is a detail of the All Terrain Tracker. If you are interested in having more picks for the site, let me know, either here on the boards or email me directly at hunterjax1@[sign in to see URL]

Re: Any New Acquisitions for Anyone?

I've added 3 figures since my last visit here. I really haven't got into collecting Super Powers much yet but when I get one in a misc. lot I keep it. I've been working on Mego's WGSH line and find that the Super Power figures display great with them. So far my huge collection of 5 loose SP figures lol lol emoticon includes

a cape-less Batman (looking for cape if anyone can help emoticon )
Green Lantern
Dr. Fate (also cape-less, but he needs to be up graded in time so no big deal)
Hawkman
and Wonder Woman.

It's a sad little collection, but it will grow emoticon
