Re: Looking for DC Style Guides

I don't know of anyone who has DC style guides for sale at this time, so I can't be of any help on that front. In general I think reproduction cards are bad for the hobby as the potential for misuse or misadvertising becomes possible as reprodution items change hands over time. Unfortunately reproduction items are one of the reasons that have forced some collectors to move towards purchasing only AFA graded carded figures due to worries about items being resealed, reproductions, etc.

I haven't seen this as a noticeable problem yet with Super Powers figures since many of the carded figures are still affordable. It certainly has become and issue with vintage carded Star Wars figures, but I believe over time the potential for this to impact the Super Powers line exists. I just bring this up as it's something to consider before making reproduction items.

I wasn't looking to do and exact replica of the cards, just my own "version"...there would be no mistaking the replica for the orignal.

Ah, that's good to hear! So, are you planning on developing cards with different images then? Kinda in Super Powers style, yet with different front images compared to the produced blister cards?

[sign in to see URL] have a TON of loose Super Powers and I was kinda thinking about maybe doing cards in the same style, but with different graphics, but still using the Garcia Lopez artwork
