Incredible update Mike!
Wax sculpts are my favorite part of the pre-production process. I think it's extremely interesting to see the differences between a wax sculpt and the eventual finished production figure it leads to. Thank you for sharing!
Also LOVE the El Dorado. That guys is my favorite of the unproduced 4th series. You have my cheers for more unproduced material on future updates!!

Amazing Super Powers pre-production update! I love the wax sculpt of cyclotron. All of it is good, Eldorado was a great surprise!

Re: February 2017 Update Posted!
Another great update. I think we discussed this before but when you have these wax sculpts this is a more durable material than regular candle wax right? Having never held or seen one I keep thinking of candles and how soft that material is and wonder how these survived.

Re: February 2017 Update Posted!
Thanks for the positive feedback, guys!
Bryan, figure sculptings are fragile to the point that you could break them if dropped, but it's not a super soft wax. The sculptors often used hot waxing pens and other scraping type tools during the sculpting process. The sculptings were often removed from the silicone molds using screw drivers, so breakage at that point was common.
The vast majority of Super Powers sculptings were saved by a single sculptor, however smaller groupings were also saved by a few other sculptors as well.

Hey Mike,
Do you happen to know what El Dorado's super power action was going to be?
Great pics and thank you for sharing!!

Re: February 2017 Update Posted!
Sorry for the late reply, Mike! Loved seeing this update, wish I could've seen this on day one, but, well you know.
Anyway flabbergasted at this update and it just so happens I currently have my hands on some rare hens teeth. Gladly trade you the teeth for the wax ;-)

Re: February 2017 Update Posted!
Hi Jared,
I suspect El Dorado was going to have a sticker, possibly of the lenticular or hologram variety, on his chest. Based on the crotch being sculpted as a separate component, I'd say the power action was likely going to involve some sort of twisting action at the waist.
Ken, you'll have to throw in some dino teeth too! :^P
