Re: JTobin's Custom - Updated 17 July 2014
Hey everyone,
It's been a while. I haven't had to much time lately to finish anything new, but I've got a bunch of stuff in the pipe line and am hoping to have a big update ready soon. Until then here are some more new pictures of old customs
Kingdom Come Superman
He was added to the JSA at the end of Johns run on the book and the costume is cool looking enough that I just had to make it. I usually don't like to dostraight repaints of a figure in a different costume, but swapping the Superman arms out for Martian Manhunter arms gave the figure a little more bulk that made it different enough. Simple piece but effective I think.
Dr Mid-Nite III
I love this character. He just looks cool. He's made from a Batman torso, arms, and head, with Green Lantern legs, and a variety of other bits including styrene, rubber bands, strips of wood, and other stuff I can't remember.
Thanks everyone!

Re: JTobin's Custom - Updated 17 July 2014
More JSA-ers!!
HOURMAN II
The son of the original Hourman in his second costume which debuted later on in Geoff Johns JSA run. Again, I love all the Hourmen that are out there, but I think this has to be my favorite costume and incarnation of the character. He's made from a Green Lantern with Batman legs. And because of those Batman legs he's wicked short, but I think it works for the character. No idea why. Because he's the son of the original?
OBSIDIAN
Originally an enemy of, then a reformed member of the JSA and the son of the original Green Lantern. Obsidian was part of the lineup for the unmade 4th wave of Super Powers figures. This is a costume that I like more than the character, although I do like his character arc from hero, to villain, and back. Anyway, he's made from a Red Tornado (who had a perfect head) with Aquaman legs.
Thanks for looking !

Thanks everybody!!
His cape is, unfortunetly, Photoshop trickery. It's a Red Tornado cape and I re- colored the cape in the image. But I do have plans to make a completely new cape and will update when that is complete.

Re: JTobin's Custom - Updated 13 September 2014
Once again thank you all for the kind word. It really helps motivate me (along with all the other customs you all post).
More JSA figures.
HAWKMAN
Simply a straight repaint with a few added accessories (weapons, pouches) to reflect the "new modern" Hawkman.
DR FATE
I love this character. Any incarnation. He/She just looks so cool. I'm working on a few more different versions, but I really liked the call back to Egyptian style that this versions had. Made from a Red Tornado torso and arms, Firestorm legs, and a Dr. Fate head.
Thanks for looking and feel free to leave comments!!!
